Through a dozen or so sessions with Barbara I have found her to be measured and insightful in the way she tunes in to the issues I bring to the table. I've always had a sense that Barbara is genuinely interested in me as a person in addition to giving me strategies to process these issues in a positive way and empower myself. She has a keen instinct for sensing straight away how I'm feeling before I've said a word. I've always felt in good hands. I've definitely benefited from Barbara's wealth of experience.

When tasked with ensuring that our organisation had a strategy and a policy that encompassed equality, diversity and inclusion, I was a little perturbed by the delicacy of that task given today's climate on such matters. My research for professional assistance took me to many websites and I contacted a few of them. However, I was guided to contact Kathryn Finch. After one telephone conversation Kathryn had grasped the situation and provided written guidance on a way forward…

Barbara is very good at explaining your rights when you have a relative in psychiatric care, which is very important when you are a lay person who doesn’t understand the system. It helped me understand and make my mind up to do something about it. On a personal note, she is very supportive, friendly and approachable.

Chatting with Kathryn was absolutely amazing! I have never felt so secure in what I want to do and my chances just seem so much better than they did before with the advice and motivation that they gave me. She was willing to answer my endless array of questions and answered everything honestly and with detail. I’m so grateful to have met her, it truly was a priceless experience.

I was recommended to see Barbara back in 2013 after beginning a new job. Diagnosed at 18, I had been suffering with anxiety and depression for almost five years. I continued to see Barbara consistently for around two years, it was during this time I underwent cognitive behavioural therapy. Barbara was kind and supportive, she listened and gave guidance where necessary. Fast forward another 5 years, my anxiety and depression is now well managed because of Barbara. As a result, I have since been promoted twice, paving the way for a successful career. I wholeheartedly recommend Barbara and will continue to use her services myself.

Kathryn is a wonderful, personable coach who balances compassion with holding me to account in the achieving of my full potential. She has a knack for breaking down the Big Things with helpful analogies. My sessions with her have helped give my life structure and I've found more meaning during the COVID-19 pandemic when my struggles became more acute.

Barbara is an exceptional listener and the most thoughtful therapist I have come across. She is kind and patient but candid, and she really helped me through my hardest year. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone

I am thankful for Barbara, I really appreciate her compassion and willingness to go out of her way. Will forever be thankful and I am thankful for how she has helped me grow as a person and put the puzzle pieces of my identify together.

I came to Barbara at the end of 2019, following one of the worst mental health crises of my life, and working with her has been the best experience of therapy and counselling that I’ve had. Her calm, insightful and empathetic approach has been supportive, grounding, and transformative. Barbara is always good at gently challenging my assumptions about myself and others, at asking me to look deeper at the things that I struggle with, and at working with me to find a way to understand and tackle them. The success I’ve found in this period of therapy is in no small part down to her expertise, encouragement and support and I’m extremely grateful to her for helping me keep doing the hard work.
