MA Counselling and Psychotherapy, BA(Hons)Social Policy & Administration, PG /Adv Dip Humanistic Integrative Counselling, Dip Clinical Supervision
I am a counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. When I finished my Post Graduate/Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, I became an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Afterwards I went on to complete a Masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London and later qualified as a clinical supervisor.
For me, it all started seventeen years ago when I was asked to set up and manage a counselling service for students and staff in a secondary school, following years of working in the City. In addition I have worked in the Charity sector and also have a private practice where I deal mainly with work-related stress, relational, personal and mental health issues. I work with adults and adolescents.
I enjoy being a supervisor and I am passionate about making sure that the help that you receive when you need it is relevant, calm, supportive and helpful. It also needs to be professional and for that reason I founded Quartz Counselling Psychotherapy & Training (QCPT) so that you can be certain of high standards.
I work integratively which means that I am flexible and will work with you however you feel and with whatever you bring. I don’t expect you to fit a particular type of therapy, I expect the therapy to fit you and so I will create a therapeutic intervention based upon your specific needs, for you alone. If you want to simply talk. I will listen. If you want to understand or address an issue in more depth, I will help you to do that. I work long-term, short-term or for a pre-determined number of sessions, depending upon what best suits your needs and your wishes. If you think that I can help you with an issue, please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and have a current DBS certificate. I am also listed with Psychology Today.
